Ovarian Cyst Symptoms

Ovarian cysts occur generally whilst a woman is in the menstruation years commonly 15-55 years of age however ovarian cysts affect women of all ages. They occur most often, however, during a woman’s childbearing years.

Some or all of the following symptoms may occur, however it is possible in some cases that no symptoms will be present:-

One of the most common symptoms is a dull ache, or severe, sudden pain, or a sharp pain on one or both sides of the abdomen, vagina, lower back or thighs. Swelling or bloating in the abdomen can also be another sign of the presence of an ovarian cyst(s).

Some other symptoms are a change in frequency or ease of urination, gaining of weight, frequent tiredness, a change in menstruation ie. irregularity, abnormal bleeding or pain.

There are many different types of ovarian cysts most of which are benign (non cancerous) and typically, most doctors will suggest a wait and see approach before taking the next step in the diagnostic and treatment process.

There are also many natural treatments to irradicate ovarian cysts and they should also be investigated before making any decisions.
